I purchased 2 tilt doors over 20 years ago from you. 10 years later the springs broke. We were advised that the mechanisms where too weak for the doors. So we paid $5,000 to replace the mechanisms. Springs broke again recently. They sent out a technician with the wrong springs. They came back a few days later with the right springs. They charged us for the springs. We paid. Then they started chasing us for the first service call when they came out with the wrong springs and didn't do anything. Why should we pay when you came out with the wrong parts?They kept chasing and finally my wife couldn't handle the calls anymore and we paid under protest, just to avoid potential debt collection and protect our credit rating. We will never use or recommend again. That's how you burn a 20 year old loyal client that has recommended you to many friends and neighbors over the years.

I originally was impressed. The salesman explained everything so I understood and the installer did a great job. About 12 months later I had a problem with my security door so I rang to ask how I could try and fix it or whether it was covered under the warranty. I was told it must be movement of the house (house is 12 years old so it’s not) or I pay $95 call out fee. If it’s not under warranty I just wanted to know (in layman’s terms) how to adjust. This experience put a real damper on the great one I had at time of purchase

I got 4 quotes on my front gate controller and all the other companies didn't even bother coming and said I needed to buy an entire new gate system. John was great, he came to quote and spent a good half hour trying to determine the fault. After determining it was most likely the controller he quoted on replacing that first, before having to change the gate arms too (which would have been a new system). Controller worked and the cost was a quarter of the cost of a new system. It's refreshing to see that there are still good, honest tradesmen out there. Superb service! Darren and Tom have replaced our 20+ year old garage door mechanism with new state of the art Merlin opener plus new springs and cable. Totally worth it! Yesterday my garage door collapsed due to broken drum. Tried 4 places to get quotes, 2 responded immediately and friendly. Sent both very detailed photos of damages and gave measurements of door and drum diameters to avoid multiple trips hence cost. Eastern Garage was chosen for earlier attendance to repairs. we had an issue 2 weeks outside of the warranty. The problem was with the parts installed last year. When I called the immediate reponse was "well it is out of warranty so we will have to charge" not a good start. I was then told that I caused the problem, um how could the phone operator have any idea of this. Apparently her mind powers told her that I had disengaged the cable that hangs down. Not sure how this is even possible when I am outside of the garage, if only I had such abilities.The only positive is that they answer the phone quickly but we will never use this company again, support is 0/10ETA I think you missed the point of the review. Your workmanship failed 2 weeks post 12 mth warranty and you blame the customer, this is not a good review. It is great you are happy that you did not have to come and fix your work, that speaks volumes.

From the very get go eastern garage doors was thorough in coming up with the best solution. We have limited height clearance so Eastern garage was very honest and upfront about the options available to us. We settled on a custom clad tilt door which is a massive upgrade on what we had. The back and forth communication was prompt and clear. They did a similarly great job to a colleague who I've recommended them to. Will definitely recommend to others.

5 star for Louise's customer service. I needed to buy a new remote to troubleshoot why the garage door was only responding intermittently. Louise offered to take the price of the remote off the cost of installing the new garage opener, if I decide to go ahead with the new garage opener. She was very fast in responding to emails and was not pushy at all. Price quoted was very competitive, compared to 2 other quotes I got.Darren turned up on time to install the new garage opener. I had an issue with my manually operated rear garage roller door coming out of it's guides and couldn't get it back in. I rang one highly rated garage door company in Bayswater twice but got zero replies back. I then rang Eastern Garage Doors who quoted me a fixed call out fee of $160 to fix the door issue and also a price to install a motor for that same door. Steve came out two days later, on time and he was brilliant. Retensioning the roller door so that it would go back into it's guides was a major effort and Steve's expertise was on full display. There was no way I could have done that. The installation of the motor was relatively simple. Great service, great price, great company... a rarity these days. I could not recommend Eastern Garage Doors highly enough and will definitely use them again if a problem arises.

Great price all up included, actually not a lot more than some selling just the hardware on eBay Fantastic communications with Danielle and Georgie getting it all scheduled and installed. SO easy to deal with and so on the ball. Darren came punctually and got it all installed. He troubleshot the old one quickly just to see, but it was beyond all help. We both had a laugh about 30 years we got from it though. He cleaned up spotlessly crushing the boxes neatly into our recycling bin. Showed us how it worked, demonstrated the finer points.
